Big bow headband - Adults
This is a very simple paptten. And looks amazing.
This is where I saw the pattern for band. http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/blossom-headband#.T6GQVWHRYmk.pinterest
I used cotton yarn and a 3.00mm hook.
And here is the pattern for bow. Use the color you used for outer chains of the band as the main body of bow. Lets call it A.
Chain 17
Row 1:SC in the second chain from hook and then SC in evey chain(16 SC). Chain one after the last SC and turn
Row 2: SC in every stitch. Chain 1 after the last SC and turn
Row 3: Repeat Row 2 9 more times.
Now use the other color you used in the middle of the band . Join it in the last row and do a row of SC on all 16 SC of previous row. After doing a SC in the last stitch chain 2 and do another SC in the same stitch. Continue SC on the side. One in each row. And then turn corner using chain 2. Continue SC on the foundation chain, and then the other side.
Fasten Off.
Put a long thread in a tapestry needle.
Now crunch the bow in the middle and using the needle go through the bow and then ties the rest of the thread over the crunched part. Give it 10 to twellve rounds then fasten off after securing with knots.
Now sew the bow on the band, and you are done.

Crochet mini cup cake
I would have never made it because I never understood why woould anyone want to crochet a cupcake. But had to when a baker lady placed an order for a cupcake keychain. It turned out so cute that now I wonder why didn't I try it before. Will be posting a FREE PATTERN soon.
I used worsted weight yarn and 3.0mm hook. But the guage isnt important because a little bit plus minus in size doesnt matter.
Begin with a magic circle
Rnd 1: 6 SC im the circle
Rnd 2: 2 SC in every sc...and use a stitvh marker to mark your first stitch. (12)
Rnd 3: * 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from *(18)
Rnd 4: * 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next 2 st. Repeat from *(24)
Rnd 5: Working in back loops. 1 SC in every SC
Rnd 6: *1 SC in the next st, 1 fpsc(front post SC) in the next st. Repeat from *
Rnd 7-10: Repeat Rnd 6
Fasten off and put aside.
Now using another color you want for the top, I have used white.
Make a magic circle
Rnd 1: 6 SC in the circle
Rnd 2: 2 SC in every SC
Rnd 3: * 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from *(18)
Rnd 4: * 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next 2 st. Repeat from *(24)
Rnd 5: 1 sc in every sc
Rnd 6 -9 : Repeat Rnd 5
Rnd 10: Now hold the bottom liner of cupcake finished earlier with the top and do a ro of SC stitch tp stitch. By going through the stitvhes on last row of both pieces. Whne the last 6 st are remaining fill it up tight. and close off.
Rnd 11: Ch1. *(1 sc, 2 dc , 1 sc) in the next st, sl st in the next st. Repeat from * all around.
Now Cherry:
I made a cherry by crocheting over a bead, you can skip the bead and fill it with polyester fibre.
Start with a magic circle again in red
Rnd1: 6 SC in the ring. (6)
Rnd2: 2 SC in evey SC (12)
Rnd 3: * 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from *(18)

Rnd5: 1 SC in every SC (24)
Rnd6-7 Repeat Rnd 5
Rnd 8: Now put the bead inside the cup that has formed. (4 sc, 1 dec over the next 2 st) Repeat 4 times (20).

Miniature hat phone charm
This hat is pretty simple, just like you would make an adult hat, only fewer rows. The tip is to use a smaller hook. Like for a cotton yarn, with which you would normally use a 3.75, use a 1mm hook. It makes the hat a little harder, which is good for a phone charm. So here goes the pattern
Begin with a magic circle
Rnd 1: ch1 , 6 sc in the ring(6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st.(12)
Rnd 3: 2 sc, 1sc(18)
Rnd 4: Now working in back loops only , 1 sc in every sc(12)
Rnd 5: repeat Rnd 4
Rnd 6: Now working in front loops only, 2sc in every sc
Rnd 7: 1sc in every sc
And you are done !
Make a tiny flower with thread and a tiny leaf and sew it on.

Braided handband, with a pretty flower
Braided head band
Row 1: Chain 7 and do a sc in the second chain from hook. 1 sc in each of the remaining 5 chains. Chain 1 and turn your work.
Row 2: 1 sc in each stitch , chain 1 turn.
Row 3: Make 2 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, chain 1 , turn
Row 4: 2 sc on the previous 2 sc. Continue in this manner until you have the desired length (equal to the circum ference of baby's head). Fasten off.
Now join Yarn at the 3rd stitch of Row 2. And repeat row 3 and 4 there, until the second strip equals the first strip. Fasten off.
Now once again join yarn at the 5th stitch of row 2. Repeat row 3 and 4 until the strip is equal to the first and second strip.
Once all three strips are done and equal in length weave the ends in.
Now join Yarn on the first stitch of the strip which ever falls on the right most. SC in the next stitch. SC on the first stitch of whichever strip falls next according to your braid. SC in the next stitch. SC in the first stitch of the last strip, and SC on the next stitch. Chain 1, turn.
1 SC in all the stitches.
Now hold both the ends together and join them with a row of SC.
Flower:
Outer flower:
Begin with a magic circle.
*SC inside the ring, chain 14, sc in the ring.* Repeat from * 11 times.
Now slip st and join to the first SC.
Now SC in the first chain 14 sp, 15 more SC in the same sp.
SC on the next chain 14 space, 15 more in the same sp. Do the remaining 10 petals in the same way.
Here is a diagram for it I tried to make, hope it helps.
Inner flower:
Begin with a magic circle
Chain 4, *DC in the ring. Chain 1* repeat 5 more times, slip st in the 3rd chain of begining chain 4.
Sl stitch in the next ch 5 space. SC, 2TR, SC all in the same ch1 space. *SC in the next ch 1 sp, 2TR, 1 SC*, repeat for rest of the chain 1 spaces.
Now sew the ends in , arrange smaller flower on top of bigger flower and sew on to the band. You can sew a button too, for added cuteness.
I hope the pattern is easily understandable and you dont have any problems following it. But if you to I will be happy to help. Please contact me if you need any help with it. Or if there is any mistake in the pattern, feel free to point that out.

UPDATE: My etsy shop is open now:
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TheZenCrocheter?ref=l2-shopheader-name
I saw a picture of this kind of vest somewhere, and wanted to try it. It looked like a simple pattern worked in rounds. Here is what I came up with, turned out really really nice.

And most of all it was pretty easy to make, I have always been a little intimidated by vests and boleros..
